Bermuda Essentials Packing List: What to Bring When Vacationing in Bermuda

Hi, it’s Hunter again. This blog will will will give you an essential packing list for your Bermuda vacation. Since we live here, and my dad owns a bus tour service (Bermudaful), I’ve learned a great deal about what essentials to bring when you’re visiting Bermuda.

My dad says, whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning one, it’s important to be smart about what you pack because forgetting an important item or bringing too many unnecessary items can spoil your trip.

Me and my dada have created the perfect packing list to help out tourists who come to enjoy this beautiful island.

Bermuda Essentials Packing List

1. Sunscreen

The sun in Bermuda is very strong, especially during the summer months. You will want to make sure you pack sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin from sunburn.

Reapply sunscreen every two hours, or more often if you are out swimming.

2. Lip Balm

Lip balm with sunscreen is a must to prevent your lips from getting sunburned. I like to keep my lips hydrated, so I always pack my lip balm wherever I go.

3. Aloe Vera Gel Or Lotion

I also recommend packing aloe vera gel or lotion in case you do get a sunburn. Aloe vera will help soothe your skin and make the effects of sunburn go away faster.

4. Hat

A hat is a great way to protect your face from the sun. I like to bring a baseball cap with me when I go outside. Wearing a hat will also help keep your head cool in the heat. If you’re going to be doing any hiking, I would recommend bringing a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face and neck from the sun.

Hats are also a great way to keep your hair out of your face, especially if it’s windy.

5. Sunglasses

Sunglasses are essential for protecting your eyes from the sun. I like to bring a pair of sunglasses with me wherever I go.

Pack a case for your sunglasses, so they don’t get scratched or broken. My dad suggests getting polarized lenses to reduce glare and help you see better.

6. Beach Towel

Of course, you’ll need a beach towel if you plan to spend any time at the beach. You’ll need a big beach towel so you can lie down on it and not get sand all over your clothes.

7. First-Aid Kit

A first-aid kit is always a good idea to have, especially when you’re traveling. You never know when you might need it. I still remember the day I fell on the rocks and cut my knee.

Who knows what would have happened if my mom didn’t have a first-aid kit?

I suggest packing a band-aid, antiseptic cream, pain reliever, and any other medications you might need. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

8. Swimsuit

If you’re planning on going to the beach, you’ll need a swimsuit. I’d say, pack two or three swimsuits to have a backup in case one gets wet.

Also, make sure to pack a cover-up or rash guard so that you can go from the beach to the restaurant without having to change clothes.

9. Toiletries

Toiletries are a must when traveling. I suggest packing travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toothpaste. You might also want to pack hair products if you have curly or frizzy hair like me.

My dad always packs a razor for shaving.

10. Clothes As Per The Climate

Of course, you’ll need to pack clothes depending on the climate. Bermuda is warm all year round, so I suggest packing light, airy clothing.

In the summer months, it can get quite hot, so I recommend bringing shorts and short-sleeved shirts.

11. Hiking Shoes

If you’re planning on doing any hiking, you’ll need a good pair of hiking shoes.

I like to bring a comfy pair of sneakers with me when I go on hikes with my dad. Make sure to break in your shoes before you go on your hike so that you don’t get blisters.

12. Bug Spray

Bugs can be a problem in Bermuda, especially in the summer months. I suggest packing bug spray with you to keep the bugs away.

Bug spray is also a good idea to pack if you’re going to be doing any hiking.

13. Pet Essentials (If You Have Any)

We have a 2-year-old French bulldog, Blu, who loves to accompany us. So we never forget his essentials when we’re out.

If you’re traveling with a pet, make sure to pack their food, water, toys, and anything else they might need.

Conclusion

These are just a few of the things I would recommend packing for your trip to Bermuda.

Of course, you’ll need to pack other things as well, such as ID, money, phones, etc. But these are some of the essentials my dad always asks his customers to bring when they opt for his bus tour service in Bermuda.

Oh, if you still need to book my dad’s bus tour service, visit this website. He’s the best! And will make your trip to Bermuda super easy and fun!
