Things To Do During The Off-Season In Bermuda

Hello travelers! It’s Hunter here! I’m six years old and love living in Bermuda. My dad owns a tour bus business, Bermudaful, so we get to explore this magical island all the time.

Bermuda is beautiful and there are lots of fun things to do here. I’ll share some of my favorite off-season activities in this blog post. Keep reading for some great ideas!

Are you planning a trip to beautiful Bermuda Island? If so, there are so many amazing things to see and do. Here are some of my personal favorites:

Walk The Former Railway Trails

Hey there! Have you ever heard of the railway system that used to connect the entire island of Bermuda? Well, my dad filled me in on the details and let me tell you, it’s pretty cool. The railways were used to transport goods and people around the island, but unfortunately, they became obsolete in the early 20th century.

But don’t worry, the good news is that many of the old railway trails have now been converted into walking paths.

The Former Railway Trails offer a great way to explore Bermuda’s natural beauty and the best part is, since they’re not used for transportation anymore, the only people you’ll encounter on the trails are other hikers and nature lovers like yourself!

I love taking a stroll on the trails with my dad and our furry companion, Blu.

See Bermuda’s Crystal Caves

The Crystal Caves are one of my all-time favorite places to visit in Bermuda. They’re located in the middle of the island, and they’re full of fascinating rock formations and sparkling crystals. My dad told me that the caves were formed millions of years ago, and I love imagining what they looked like back then. But the best part of the Crystal Caves is the boat ride that takes you through them, the water is so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom, and the rocks sparkle in the sunlight. It feels like you’re in a whole other world.

Visit Bermuda’s Aquarium

Bermuda is home to a ton of amazing marine life, and you can see some of it up close at the Bermuda Aquarium.

They have tanks full of tropical fish, stingrays, sharks, and even sea turtles! I could spend hours watching the sea turtles swim around, it’s mesmerizing. I also love the hands-on exhibits where you can touch stingrays and horseshoe crabs, and even feed the fish! It’s a great place to learn about the creatures that live in the ocean around Bermuda and have some fun while doing it.

Enjoy a Spa

After a long day of exploring, there’s nothing better than treating yourself to some relaxation at the spa. My mom loves going to the spa and enjoying a massage.

She says the therapists are so friendly and always make you feel so at ease – it’s the perfect way to unwind.

She also loves the sauna and steam room. They’re great for loosening up your muscles and leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Take a Tour of Bermuda

If you’re visiting Bermuda, I highly recommend taking a tour!

My dad runs a tour bus business, Bermudaful, and they offer a variety of tours all around the island.

You’ll learn about Bermuda’s history, culture, and see some of the most beautiful places on the island. I especially love the food tours, it’s a great way to try different Bermuda dishes and discover new favorites.

Explore Fort St. Catherine

Fort St. Catherine is a really cool place to explore. It’s an old fort that was built by the British over 200 years ago, and it’s full of tunnels and secret rooms to discover.

My favorite part is the view from the top of the fort – you can see for miles!

Swim With The Turtles in Bermuda

Swimming with turtles is one of the best things to do in Bermuda. They’re so friendly and curious, and they love to swim alongside you.

I always have so much fun when I’m swimming with turtles! It’s an experience you don’t want to miss.

Kitesurfing (December to May)

Kitesurfing is an awesome sport and Bermuda is one of the best places to do it.

The wind is always perfect for kitesurfing, and there are some amazing spots to do it. My dad took me kitesurfing for the first time last year, and I had so much fun!

Whale Watching in Bermuda

Between March and April, Bermuda is a fantastic place for whale watching. Every year, humpback whales come to our waters to mate and give birth. It’s really cool to see them swimming and breaching out of the water.

If you’re lucky, you might even see a calf! My dad saw a calf swimming with its mom once and said it was an adorable sight.

The Bermuda Golf Course

The Bermuda Golf Course is located right next to the ocean, and it has views of the Pink Beach. My dad loves golf, and he’s been taking me to the course since I was a little.

Even though I’m not a big fan of golf, I love hanging around with our dog Blu while my dad plays.

Art Galleries

There are some really cool art galleries in Bermuda. My mom loves art, and she’s always taking me to see the latest exhibitions. I think my favorite one was the one with the paintings of dolphins and whales. They were so realistic that I felt like I could reach out and touch them!

Conclusion
